Medical Laboratory Technology
Medical Laboratory Technology is a critical field that prepares technicians to carry out advanced testing and procedures on human tissue and samples, which enables physicians to identify and treat diseases. To launch your career in California, begin your journey with an Associate’s Degree or complete 60 semester/equivalent quarter units, gain six months of clinical training, and pass the relevant licensure exam. As you gain more experience and education, you can progress to become a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, advancing your career in the industry.
